You may already be using one of the many accounting packages available or you may be looking for a suitable package for your business.
Here at R A Clement Associates we run accounting software on behalf of our clients. The two software packages we most commonly use are "Sage Accounts" and "CashFlow Manager".
Which one best suits your business depends on the size of your business and whet level of reporting you need. See further details below.
We also use Quicken & QuickBooks on behalf of some clients.
Brief details of each of the two main packages are given below but you can always ask us which of the two main contenders we would recommend for your business. Contact us to discuss your options.
Sage Accounting Software
In the UK, accounting software falls into two categories: Sage and the rest.
Sage is well established accounting software and R A Clement Associates have a large number of clients who have been using it successfully for many years.
The Sage package can be more complex than some of you need, but if you have a VAT registered company with a standard trading pattern, you should find that Sage suits - and we can help you to tailor it to your business.
As authorised Sage resellers R A Clement Associates can supply Sage at attractive prices and provide a complete service to purchasers including staff training, installation, set-up and on-going support to ensure that your accounting records are managed correctly.
When the time comes to prepare your annual accounts the transfer of information from Sage to our IRIS accounts production software is straightforward and quick, saving us time and saving you money.
Phone us to have a chat about Sage software before committing to a purchase. Contact us today on 01631 562 643 (Oban Office) or on 01397 700 171 (Fort William Office) for an informal discussion without obligation.
Cashflow Manager Accounting Software
Cashflow Manager is primarily sold through accountants and business advisors like R A Clement Associates, who are actively interested in their clients' welfare.
Cashflow Manager uses a column format to record receipt and payments. If you are currently using a manual ledger the screen layout will be familiar from the start. The difference is that the software will add up the columns across and down to save you the effort.
Cashflow Manager will also give you management reports and enable you to do your VAT return and bank reconciliation quickly on the computer. It is most suitable for businesses accounting for VAT on a cash basis.

Cashflow Manager costs just £99.00 plus VAT and if you have several businesses you can put them all on it for the one price. They also give you 90 days free support with the product, where most bookkeeping software allows only 30 days free support.
It does not take long to get you up and running with Cashflow Manager but if you need any training we can provide it.
See the Cashflow Manager website for further details.
