The new "Employment Allowance" - Some Guidance

From 6th April employers can reduce the amount of National Insurance Contributions they pay for their employees by up to £2000.  This is known as "Emplyment Allowance" and starts on 6th April 2014.

If you currently pay less that £2000, you should not have to pay any employer contributions from that date BUT there are some exclusions.  For example, NHS Services and GP Services are mainly excluded if they carry out more than 50% of their work in or for the public sector.  See for further details or call Sandra Shedden, Payroll Manager on 01631 568 272 for enlightenment!
